Well, I am getting back to blogging after taking a few months off due to working, vacations, sickness, etc. So, here is what's been happening with the Lee family.
WORK-I am now an official Cedars-Sinai postpartum/nursery nurse. I had to work full time for a few months of orientation, which about killed us all, but thanks to my cuz Shelly (THANK YOU!) and some great friends and family (THANKS GRANDMAS!!!) we have made it through orientation and I am only working once a week. We are grateful for this blessing and know Heavenly Father has had a hand in helping all of this work out.
Shelly was great with the kids and we had fun giving her a tour of L.A.
We went to the Skirball museum, Noah's Ark exhibit:

We went to mormon night at Dodger's stadium with Shelly and the Lee grandparents. It was the L.A. Dodgers against the AZ Diamondbacks, which was funny, considering Spencer is from AZ BTW-the Diamondbacks won:

We introduced Shelly to the wonders of Disneyland! (and some very long lines, unfortunately-but we had fun anyway!)
At the tree house
Shelly in front of the castle
Waiting for the parade to start. Spencer enjoying his sucker we bribed him with.

Shelly and Aunt Heidi have corrupted him with their Ipods
At Santa Monica pier-we even got to see a filiming of Hanna Montana-yippee.
At the famous Chinese theatre in Hollywood.
Finals/Sickness-In the midst of me working full time, Spencer was in his finals for Dental School (he got all A's by the way-the smarty!) Both Spencer Sr.,Spencercito, and Lily got sick for a month with a nasty cough/bronchitis. We were so worried that Spencer (daddy) might have walking pneumonia but luckily it was only a bad case of bronchitis and he is finally feeling better, just in time for school to start again.
Vacations-We flew to AZ for my brother-in-law's wedding...Yay for Russ and Adri! They are so cute and it was great to see them get sealed in the temple and to be reminded of our sweet wedding day-I just wanted to marry Spencer all over again right then-he is such a great husband and father and I LOVE HIM!!!! Spencercito loved to play with his cousins and when he got home he set apart some toys that they could play with if they came here "These are for Boyd" he says. He also keeps saying "lets go to G-ma and G-pa's house" when we get in the car to go somewhere. Thanks to Grandma we got to go on a DATE and to the temple, too, wow. I also got to see my first 3D movie "Journey to the Center of the Earth".
Disneyland- After much deliberation we decided to get Disneyland year long passes and have already gone 4 times! Spencer asks to go Disneyland all the time, and keeps saying "mickey mouse!" over and over. He also tells me his favorite rides he wants to go on: Dumbo, Carousel, the Boat ride, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and of course....the Pixar parade in California Adventure headed by the one and only Lightening McQueen! He was in absolute awe seeing McQueen live it was very cute. Needless to say he is growing up a very spoiled little boy who thinks going to Disneyland once a week is normal. (The dental school wives and kids like to go while our husbands are in school-practically no waiting in line)
So, those are the basics of our last few months and now we are back to normal and enjoying staying home for awhile watching our kids learn and grow.
We love Disneyland! (Actually, it was great just to be able to spend ALL DAY with my husband and the kids to have their Daddy for so much time over the break. We even splurged a little and did the "kid swap" and went on a few adult rides too, it was great.
Here we are on Dumbo:

The tree house again:
Mr. Toad's wild ride:
The carousel
At California Adventure-they loved the water toys, Lily especially just got right in with the big kids and happily got drenched. Spencer preferred filling his shoes with water over and over again.

The Pixar Parade-Spencer's disneyland dream come true!!! He is captivated.
The one, the only, Lightening McQueen! CaCHOW!!!
And....MATER! Spencer was so happy to see him too.

Seeing another 3D movie in CA adventure-a Bug's life feature.
Our little prince pulling the sword from the stone.
The king of our house pulling the sword from the stone.
Children update:
Spencercito- 2.5 years old-25 lbs-I thought he talked a lot before-he is always talking or singing and is so cute! He plays with and loves Lily-except when she steals his toys. They have a great time together. I enjoy listening to his stories and teaching him songs and stories about Jesus. He learns so quickly, and has learned a lot of English lately which has really helped with nursery at church. Here he is in the trampoline that g-parents Hancock got him.
Liliana-7.5 months-14 lbs- She is a speed crawler, a great and swift biter (2 very sharp teeth)and rice cereal aficionado. She loves her big brother and follows him around stealing his toys and laughing with him whenever he looks at her. She is a very easy baby and still takes at least 3 naps a day. We are so glad to have her join our family. So far she has eaten in this order: cardboard, napkins, paper, (of course the first three were accidental-she must have been pretty hungry!) pea pods, carrots (both of which she just gummed, but was happy to be "eating" with us at the table), rice cereal (finally!), ground chicken, the edges of her crib (yum!), rice cakes, and sweet potato.

Hola Hermana,
It's so fun to see what you and your cute family are doing. It sounds very busy, but fun. Isn't that the definition of life, though!
Crazy that your bro-in-law was in our mission! I hadn't known that connection before. Did you guys serve together ever?
Jen,
You lived out both my kids' dreams in one post- Hannah Montanna and Lightening McQueen! They would like to come and live with you now, or at least visit for a while!
It was nice seeing you this past summer. My kids are still trying to sort everyone out into family groups- they just apply the title of aunt and cousin to everyone as default. Andrew and Spencer would have fun being boys together- maybe we will end up in the DC area together sometime in the future.
Russell and I served in the same zone once, he was with Elder Broderick while I was in Benton City and Pasco. Spencer always says he is grateful Russ was a good missionary so that I would consider dating his older brother :)
