Spencer is excited to wear his gymnastics uniform for the first time



Here we are at his first day of gymnastics class


We have decided to put Spencercito in a gymnastics class for several reasons (not in any order):
-To have a positive channel for his everlasting energy
-To learn discipline
-Its something to do on one of my "no car" days-we can walk there from our apt.
-To see how he does in a more structured environment before we start him in preschool next year

So far....He had a very rocky beginning and couldn't seem to stay with his class, but wanted to be in the other three classes going on at the same time, in different areas of the gym. He didn't seem to think he had to listen to Coach Heather-but she soon made that quite clear. I left wondering if this was such a good idea-maybe I should have tried soccer first.

Now......He is doing much better. We have practiced listening, obeying, waiting our turn, some common gymnastics moves, and vocabulary. Last class he was ten times better and it was so cute to watch him tumble and walk the balance beam. He especially liked swinging on the rings and he loves his coach. Yea Spencer! More pics to follow.
