Our sweet little girl turned 2 today. We are so glad to have her in our family! She is a very happy, positive girl who just recently has given up saying "No!" to everything, and now says "OK!" to everything. She has kept us on our toes because of how advanced she has been: She crawled very early, talked very early and is still quite the talker. She potty trained early, which is funny because all the undies are so big! Spencercito has taught her colors and some letters (O, Q and L are current favorites). She continues to love books and can usually persuade anyone-even strangers-to read to her. Other favorites include puppies, horses, cats, and stuffed animals (her hippo, giraffe and bear). Favorite songs are: I Am a Child of God, and still How Much Is That Doggie In The Window, except she substitutes "red kitty" and other various colored animals. She loves to sing and I love to hear her songs all day long. As for her Spanish, she understands completely but as for speaking, she says a sentence in English, and then looks at me and says it in Spanish.
Lily gave us the opportunity today to call poison control for the first time so far as parents. She was drinking water from the spray bottle which we use to fix her hair, so I took that away. Well, she decided to drink from the softsoap foam dispenser instead. We were alerted to her misdeed when we heard vomiting noises from the bathroom. We found her vomiting bubbles, with the softsoap container in her hand. Spencer made her vomit more while I called poison control. It turns out softsoap isn't toxic, but it makes great bubbles, even on the way up.

Happy birthday to Lily:) I can't believe that's the first time you've called Poison Control!
