We are getting used to life in LA. While we still terribly miss New York, life here has its perks too. Having a car to go grocery shopping is one of them, no more 'take only what you can carry on the subway'. However, I must say that California drivers are even crazier than New York drivers, but I am quickly learning to be more aggressive at the wheel :). We love being 12 minutes away from Santa Monica beach and are frequent visitors. The weather here is fabulous and the palm trees create a beautiful atmosphere. Spencer loves the park up our hill and always wants to go swimming in our complex pool, even now when its cold enough to turn his little legs pink.
Spencer is looking the part of dental student, scrubs and all. He is doing well in all his classes, but especially does well in the dental lab where he practices fixing teeth. We are so proud of our hard working Papa.
I am working a few Saturdays a month at local hospitals which has been enlightening to say the least. California only allows 1/2 the patient load that NYC demanded so that makes my job much easier.
Spencercito has decided to start speaking and he does very well, he even has a few sentences under his belt (gramatically correct and in Spanish). We stopped counting after fifty the words he spontaneously says. Among his favorites are 'bus' 'camion' 'avion' and 'llantas'. In English those are bus, truck, airplane, and tires, he is all boy.
As for our GIRL.....baby (Emma or Liliana) is a wiggler! She is always moving and we can't wait until she joins our family sometime around January 20th. Her favorite pastime is sucking her thumb. She wouldn't let it go the whole time we saw her in the ultrasound.
