So, after almost 3 years of avoiding wheat because of the reaction it caused with Spencercito.......we are now slowly introducing it back into his diet (with crossed fingers)
We recently had Spencercito's and Liliana's blood tested for an IgE reaction to wheat and other common allergens. I had been feeling for awhile that we should do a blood test, instead of the more traumatizing skin scratch tests. Well, the tests for both kids came back negative for all allergens! We were excited about that, but also a little wary because even though this probably rules out a wheat allergy (providing the test was accurate-we've had false negatives before) we now are on to the next probable cause of his discomfort-celiac disease. Hopefully he doesn't have celiac either and has just outgrown the allergy he had. Only time will tell-but for now we are hopeful.
As for our HOLIDAY PLANS...
ARIZONA here we come! We'll be in AZ from the 18th to the 23rd. FYI for you arizonians-the wonderful Lee family choir (which actually includes me-I'll just sing softly so as not to ruin the performance!)will be perfoming at the Mesa Temple outside the visitor's center on Dec 21st around 7 pm I think (see temple for actual schedule). We are excited to see family and Spencercito is excited to see his cousins again and to drink his favorite grapefruit juice from gpa's trees.
Northern Cal here we come too! From Dec 23rd to the 30th we'll be in No-Cal to visit the great g-parents. Hopefully Spencercito will be able to see snow! I had to explain to him yesterday what a snowman was-I'm not sure he got it. We can't wait to see family again soon!

That would be awesome if he didn't have allergies anymore! I hope that's the case. Hey, we'll be in Mesa from the 19th - the 3rd, so if we've all got time, we should try to get together for a few minutes. Let's be in touch!
